About the job

The ICRC Physical Rehabilitation Unit seeks a competent Physical Rehabilitation Programme (PRP) Field Officer to join our team in Kyiv. The PRP Field Officer supports the effective implementation of the Physical Rehabilitation Programme (PRP) with a particular focus on data management, reporting, logistics, and monitoring of programme activities. Under the supervision of the PRP team, the Field Officer plays a key role in coordinating training, events, and logistical support for PRP-related items, while also contributing to the monitoring and evaluation of supported services.

In addition, the role leads initiatives related to the social inclusion of persons with disabilities, including support to Micro Economic Initiatives (MEI), awareness-raising on disability rights, and sports and community engagement activities. The Field Officer builds and maintains strong relationships with ICRC-supported rehabilitation structures and external stakeholders to strengthen collaboration and programme impact.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities

• Support the coordination and implementation of PRP activities, including communication and collaboration with ICRC-supported facilities (e.g., hospitals, rehabilitation centers) and relevant stakeholders
• Manage administrative and logistical tasks related to referrals, transport, accommodation, and payments for persons with disabilities in line with ICRC financial procedures
• Organize and coordinate PRP-related events, workshops, and trainings, including planning, budgeting, and reporting
• Collect, compile, and submit timely reports, statistics, meeting minutes, and field trip reports, contributing to programme monitoring and evaluation
• Support the development and implementation of social inclusion initiatives, including Micro Economic Initiatives (MEI), sports activities, and awareness-raising events
• Act as a liaison with local authorities, Disabled Persons Organizations (DPOs), NGOs, and other rehabilitation actors to strengthen partnerships and promote inclusion
• Provide interpretation and translation support during field visits, meetings, and communication with supported structures to ensure clear understanding and alignment
• Contribute to information sharing, contextual analysis, and internal reporting; channel relevant protection or context-related information to appropriate departments

About you

To be successful as PRP Field Officer in the Physical Rehabilitation Unit, you should possess the following qualifications and experiences and have the following characteristics:

• Ukrainian citizenship or permanent residence permit in Ukraine
• High school diploma or university degree in Rehabilitation, Public Health, or a related field is preferred
• Additional qualification in hospital administration or public health is a strong asset
• Minimum of 2–3 years of professional experience in health or rehabilitation projects, or in the administration of health facilities
• Previous experience (1–2 years) working with humanitarian organizations is an advantage
• Professional fluency in English and Ukrainian (written and spoken)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other standard computer applications
• Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment
• Self-motivated with a strong commitment to teamwork and humanitarian principles
• Flexible, enthusiastic, and willing to learn
• Ability to work independently, as well as effectively under supervision
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks
• Ability to work within a diverse team and establish and maintain good working relations in a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural, and multi-disciplinary environment
