We are seeking a Senior/Lead DevOps Engineer to lead customer migrations from major cloud providers to self-hosted infrastructure in the EU. The role includes configuring and maintaining Kubernetes clusters, creating reusable templates, designing reliable architectures, and ensuring smooth migrations with minimal downtime. You will work closely with clients and internal teams to turn technical and business requirements into practical solutions, while also mentoring and upskilling internal engineers to support the team's long-term growth.

The client is a European technology company working on cloud infrastructure products. Their mission is to help enterprises gain more control over their data and infrastructure by providing secure, reliable, and compliance-ready alternatives to traditional hyperscaler environments. The role involves building Kubernetes-native components and platform tools that enable enterprise customers to operate in highly regulated industries while meeting strict standards such as GDPR, ISO 27001, and DORA.

Experience / Skills:

5+ years of DevOps engineering experience

Proficient experience in Kubernetes, including cluster management and add-ons

Experience in infrastructure automation tools: Helm, Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent

Proven expertise in CI/CD pipelines with hands-on experience in building and maintaining automated deployment processes

Strong background in containerization, preferably with Docker

Practical knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus and Grafana

Solid understanding of system architecture, with the ability to design reliable and scalable self-hosted environments

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Leadership or mentorship potential to upskill internal engineers

Responsibilities:

Design and implement reusable configuration templates

Lead migrations from cloud to self-hosted infrastructure

Identify improvements in performance, reliability, and security

Develop detailed architecture proposals aligned to client needs

Collaborate directly with customers and internal teams

Mentor internal engineers in DevOps best practices
