Role Overview
The Technical Support Platform Specialist focuses on the automation, advanced configuration, and technical optimisation of support platforms. This role develops and maintains scripts, tools, and integrations to streamline workflows, reduce manual effort, and enhance platform capabilities. By delivering technical enhancements and supporting custom solutions, the specialist ensures that platforms remain scalable, performant, and reliable. Working closely with Global Customer Support, this role drives innovation, best practice adoption, and efficiency across support operations.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Administration & Configuration
- Maintain and configure support platforms to ensure stability, scalability, and alignment with business needs.
- Apply system updates, settings, and enhancements to improve reliability and user experience.
System Maintenance & Monitoring
- Proactively monitor system health, performance, and usage to identify potential issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems to minimise disruption to support operations.
- Support testing and validation of platform changes, upgrades, and integrations.
Technical Enablement & Support
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to support teams, ensuring effective use of platform features.
- Assist with escalations by investigating and resolving platform-related issues.
- Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing.
Continuous Improvement & Collaboration
- Contribute to system improvement initiatives by recommending configuration changes and best practices.
- Collaborate with the Support Platform Lead, IT, product, and support teams to deliver aligned solutions.
- Stay informed on platform updates and emerging capabilities to advise on potential improvements.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience working with Genesys (contact centre platforms) and Microsoft Dynamics CRM (customer relationship management).
- Preferably a technical background in automation, scripting, and integrations.
- Familiarity with modern programming languages and API development is beneficial.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, comfortable working across technical and non-technical teams.
