Head of Kyiv Design Hub

At Wix Design Guild, We are a  multidisciplinary in-house design studio of over 300 designers globally  with a  mission to implement a cohesive and coherent brand strategy across all visual assets at Wix. Earlier this year, we expanded our creative footprint with the launch of the Kyiv Design Hub—a center of innovation, collaboration, and design excellence. This hub will serve as a creative powerhouse, bringing together talented designers to tackle strategic design tasks at scale, enhancing the variety and velocity of our in-house design capabilities. With a focus on creativity, collaboration, and user-first solutions, the Kyiv Design Hub will play a key role in shaping the future of design at Wix. As the Head of the Kyiv Design Hub, you will be responsible for leading our new design center to the next level. Your role encompasses building and managing a high-performing design team, overseeing all design projects to ensure they align with our company's strategic objectives, and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful design solutions that enhance our brand and user experience. Additionally, you will represent the company within the local design community, building relationships and promoting the hub's presence in Kyiv.  In your day to day you will:

• Build and Lead the Kyiv Design Hub – Recruit, mentor, and manage a world-class team of designers, fostering a strong creative culture.

• Manage & Develop Design Managers – Oversee and support design team leads, ensuring they have the tools, knowledge, and mentorship to manage their teams effectively.

• Align Global Design Strategy – Ensure that the Kyiv Design Hub operates in sync with the Wix Design Guild in Israel, maintaining consistency in design principles, methodologies, and objectives.

• Drive Strategic Design Initiatives – Oversee high-impact design projects, ensuring alignment with Wix's brand and business goals.

• Establish Processes & Best Practices – Implement workflows, design methodologies, and creative standards to scale and optimize team efficiency.

• Collaborate Across Departments – Work closely with product, data, and content teams to integrate design into all facets of the business.

• Champion the Kyiv Design Community – Strengthen Wix's presence in the local design scene through partnerships, events, and community engagement.

• Ensure Design Excellence – Set a high bar for quality, providing guidance and feedback to ensure visually compelling and user-first design solutions.

Oversee Resources & Operations – Drive high-level strategy, ensuring efficient workflows, timelines, and tools that enable seamless operations and successful project execution.

• Proven Leadership Experience – 6+ years of leading and inspiring design teams, fostering a strong creative vision and culture.

• Experience Leading Leaders – Demonstrated success in mentoring and scaling design managers to build high-performing teams.

• Strategic Design Expertise – Deep understanding of UX/UI, branding, and digital design, with a portfolio showcasing impactful, high-level design leadership.

• Design Leadership in a Global Tech Company – Experience driving design strategy and execution at scale within a global technology organization.

• Visionary Communicator – Ability to champion design excellence, influence stakeholders, and collaborate effectively with executives and cross-functional teams.
