Job Description:

  • Research and analyze the crop protection products (CPP) market and its prospects, develop and expand business relations with CPP consumers, analyze demand, satisfaction levels, requirements and requests of CPP consumers supplied by UPL Ukraine, and assess product competitiveness through consumer needs evaluation and competitor monitoring.
  • Continuously monitor commercial purchases by agricultural producers under the manager's responsibility, participate in tenders, oversee the tender process, and track all procurement stages.
  • To create demand for company products:
    • Develop a plan for demonstration trials with clients.
    • Approve the plan with the direct supervisor and coordinate with the marketing department head or general director.
    • Independently organize demonstration trials per the approved plan, including client agreements, CPP delivery, regular monitoring during application, and field inspections to gather evidence of product benefits.
    • Organize field days and training events with farm agronomists and management to generate demand for UPL Ukraine products.
    • Regularly document results of demonstration trials with photos and videos and submit materials to the marketing department.
    • Use the evidence base from trials to showcase product advantages and increase sales.
  • Maintain regular business relations with distributor managers responsible for key client sales.
  • Be proactive and maintain close communication with client procurement departments, decision-makers, influencers, field agronomists, farm managers, and trial coordinators before and during tender procedures.
  • Provide timely and significant information and suggestions to the direct supervisor or, in their absence, to the general director of UPL Ukraine.
  • Regularly survey farm contacts under the manager's responsibility regarding potential CPP supply needs from UPL Ukraine.
  • Actively participate in providing commercial offers during CPP procurement by responsible farms:
    • Timely receive requests from farms.
    • Respond promptly with feedback.
    • Immediately inform the direct supervisor.
    • Quickly coordinate commercial offers with the supervisor.
  • Continuously analyze, maintain, and expand the client base.
  • Enter activity data into CRM or its equivalent for both personal and departmental activities.
  • Participate in developing marketing policies and activities, especially for agroholdings and large farms.
  • Attend regular professional development training.
  • Thoroughly know and continuously study company products: active ingredients, formulations, characteristics, applications, and other data.
  • Know and study competitor products, differences, and capabilities.
  • Prepare product implementation projects and plans, and forecast sales according to deadlines and management requirements.
  • Ensure timely fulfillment of obligations to counterparties.
  • Provide customer service and technical support, conduct seminars and training, present products, organize field trials, and assist clients in developing technological maps.
  • Coordinate product shipments according to orders, ensuring full and timely delivery.
  • Submit pricing and commercial policy suggestions to the department head and marketing/sales managers for large farms and agroholdings.
  • Respond to product quality complaints per established procedures, promptly inform product managers and marketing/sales heads, and participate in resolving claims.
  • Receive and analyze complaints about delivery delays and inform the supervisor and logistics department.
  • Prepare and/or provide information needed to file claims against clients for payment delays.
  • Resolve disputes with clients independently when possible and inform the supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Regularly report to the supervisor on work results and task completion as per established rules.
  • Submit action plans for the next period to the supervisor for approval.
  • Timely and fully provide the supervisor with properly formatted information via email: client requests, preliminary offers, technical and commercial data, and suggestions for commercial and tender proposals.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Higher education in agronomy, technical or economic fields
  • At least 5 years of experience in the agricultural sector
  • At least 3 years of successful sales experience
  • Detailed knowledge of crop production technologies
  • Professional negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in computer use
  • Presentation preparation skills
  • Experience in analytical work with large data sets
  • Ability to work independently towards agreed goals
  • Task distribution and team coordination skills
  • Persistence and energy
  • Honesty and integrity
  • Valid driver's license with at least 3 years of active driving experience.
