Engineering Manager Go Language

We are looking for an Engineering Manager with strong Go language expertise to join our team in Ukraine. In this role, you will focus on driving the development of Go Unit and ensuring the growth of Go capabilities and expertise within the Cloud & DevOps Practice.

Kindly note that this role supports remote work, but only from within Ukraine.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to align engineering goals with business objectives
• Mentor and guide Go development engineering teams to enhance technical capabilities
• Lead engagements averaging 20+ team members and drive project success
• Advocate for best engineering practices, tools, and technologies
• Maintain high standards of software quality within the team
• Proactively suggest tools, technologies, and approaches to optimize delivery
• Apply project management principles to ensure timely and successful delivery
• Promote and implement Agile methodologies within the team and projects
• Take ownership of hiring processes to build strong development teams
• Develop and implement training programs to upskill team members
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth requirements

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on software development experience with the Go language
• 3+ years of experience in leadership positions
• Proven ability to manage and grow engineering teams
• Strong project management skills
• Strong communication skills and experience working with global teams
• Solid track record in implementing enterprise-wide custom applications
• Experience with Agile methodologies and frameworks
• Passion for developing technical expertise and fostering a culture of innovation
• Experience in hiring and training technical staff
• Fluent English is a must
• Knowledge of cloud platforms like GCP, Azure or Amazon Web Services
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools
