About Client:

Our client is a global mining company with a world-class portfolio of products that are used by a billion consumers every day. Our client relies on data and cutting-edge data science to enhance their operations. They also use advanced machine learning and artificial intelligence to optimize their processes.

• Develop, deploy, and maintain machine learning models and pipelines, ensuring high reliability and scalability.
• Collaborate across teams to deliver ML solutions covering predictive analytics, time-series analysis, computer vision, NLP, and GenAI/large language models (LLMs).
• Manage distributed data processing workloads using Apache Spark and Kubernetes.
• Design and implement APIs for ML services, notably using FastAPI.
• Containerize ML applications with Docker and manage CI/CD deployment pipelines.
• Build and optimize data science pipelines, preferably with Kedro.
• Utilize Azure cloud services, including AzureML python SDK, Azure Function Apps, and Azure Pipelines, for model deployment and monitoring.
• Apply data science methodologies such as modeling, simulation, optimization, and time-series forecasting.
• Aim for continuous improvement of models through experimentation, monitoring, and tuning.

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related fields.
• Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Distributed data processing with Apache Spark and Kubernetes
• Strong expertise with FastAPI, Docker, and deployment pipelines.
• Solid understanding of ML fundamentals and data science principles.
• Experience in developing and maintaining production-level ML solutions.
• Proven track record in ML/DS engineering roles with a focus on scalable, production-ready systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and effective communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Upper-intermediate level of English

Desirable Experience:

• Hands-on experience with Kedro for DS pipelines.
• Extensive usage of AzureML (esp. python SDK) and Azure Function Apps, Azure Pipelines.
• Data Science Methodologies (modelling, simulation, optimization, time-series).
• Background in time-series analysis, predictive analytics, computer vision, NLP, GenAI/LLMs are particular focus areas of the team.
