Project overview:

Our customer is Nordic company. Their diverse portfolio spans multiple sectors, including defense, aerospace, and the protection and surveillance of critical infrastructure. We are looking for the Senior ML Data Engineer in Lviv, Ukraine, to be the first engineer in the team. It needs to be a person who has made solutions using AI for data crunching.

Requirements:

Technical Skills:

7+ of experiecne

Strong experience with stream processing frameworks (Kafka, Flink, Spark Streaming).

Proficiency in Python and Java/Scala for data engineering and ML integration.

Hands-on experience with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and NLP libraries (Hugging Face).

Knowledge of vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus) and semantic search.

Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Understanding of distributed systems, data partitioning, and fault tolerance.

Soft Skills:

Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset.

Ability to design scalable architectures and optimize for performance.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

English – at least Upper-Intermediate level

Responsibilities:

Design and build scalable real-time data and ML pipelines

Develop, deploy, and optimize machine learning and NLP solutions

Architect and maintain distributed, containerized systems with a focus on scalability, fault tolerance, and performance

Lead technical implementation as the first ML Data Engineer in the team, shaping architecture, best practices, and technical direction of the project.
