Job Summary

Assure the pro-active research of all possible innovative and emerging technologies and development methodologies according to developed R&D operating model and new specific client/prospect or project requirements. Provide technological support and consulting to Sales, Marketing, Engagement, and Production Teams. Ensure that Company correctly understands and anticipates market demands, plans and develops products to meet customer needs and remain competitive in the market. Reports directly to CTO.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Ensure technological support to the Company in the new clients' prospects and projects engagement activities by providing technical, development process, research methodological consulting and guidance
  • Coordinate company experts and development resources to create required demos and prototypes on-demand
  • Generate innovations for improvement of the processes, practices, project environments and tools
  • Provide screening of technological trends worldwide, offshore market, outsourcing conditions and expectations related to technologies, practices, and methodologies
  • Gather business intelligence of all possible emerging technologies in order to implement them to customer needs and Company business objectives
  • Establish short and long-term research and development strategies considering the technological diversity of current and future Company needs

Qualifications and Skills

  • 3+ years in R&D
  • 5+ years of experience managing innovative, successful software development projects
  • 5+ years of experience in engineering, project management, and personnel management
  • Supervisory experience in the following areas: research, strategic planning, execution of multiple projects, people management, budget development, and presentation.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills
  • Capable of managing and coordinating the work of a highly-skilled staff, placing particular emphasis on developing new product lines and expanding existing ones
  • Strong skills utilizing diverse databases, research and analysis software
  • Significant experience with world-class R&D processes
  • Proven ability to drive measurable and effective R&D performance
  • Ability to communicate technical results and principles to non-technical audience
  • Effective communication skills
  • Process improvement experience
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, interpersonal, and decision making skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
