Our client is a leading managed WordPress hosting platform, empowering businesses with the performance, security, and reliability they need to grow online. Their platform automates the complexities of WordPress site management, helping teams focus on content and user engagement instead of infrastructure.

The team is responsible for architecting, building, and maintaining the core data infrastructure. This infrastructure serves as the analytical backbone of the company, enabling other data teams to deliver reliable, secure, and governed data.

• Having at least 3+ years of professional experience as a DevOps Engineer
• Experienced with Python or Go for building infrastructure and tooling
• Strong in Kubernetes (K8s) for managing containerized applications and Docker
• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, specifically Terraform
• Working with data models and pipelines directly, within a Data Engineering role or similar
• Familiar with GCP (Google Cloud Platform)
• Capable of data warehouse technologies, particularly BigQuery
• Experienced with building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledgeable of DBT (data build tool)
• Having strong SQL debugging skills and query performance optimization knowledge
• Effective as a team player
• Capable of communicating in English freely in a multicultural environment

• Build, maintain, and improve the core data infrastructure necessary to support data replication and data modeling (e.g., K8s runners, CI/CD, Git repos, BigQuery)
• Develop and maintain supporting tooling that enables data development, such as custom container images and internal tools
• Manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform
• Implement and maintain high security standards
• Define and maintain high coding standards and best practices across Data Engineering teams, through PR reviews, linters, and frameworks
• Set up, maintain, and improve the centralized alerting infrastructure using platforms like GCP Alerts, Monte Carlo
• Define, document, and promote standardization and best practices for data development, including coding standards, CI/CD processes, and data lifecycles
• Implement and manage data access policies for the data ecosystem in accordance with governance guidance
• Enhance the developer environment by creating onboarding guides, process runbooks, and improving the contribution process for other teams
• Provide guidance and support to other teams, mentoring them on how to best utilize the technologies owned by the Data Platform
• Monitor and manage the operational costs of the data ecosystem, building tools to control spend and assign ownership
