We're looking for someone to help coordinate our mobile medical units bringing healthcare
to communities across Dnipro, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhzhia oblasts in Ukraine. You'll work closely with field teams, local authorities, hospitals, and STEP IN colleagues to make sure our services reach those who need them most—efficiently, safely, and with heart.

This is
a role for someone who's not afraid of complexity and who's motivated by purpose
. You'll be working in a country affected by war - while we have solid safety procedures in place and do everything we can to keep our team safe, flexibility, resilience, and situational awareness are essential. That said, many of us have found this work deeply fulfilling, and being part of a committed, warm, and professional team makes a big difference.

What you'll be doing:

• Planning and adjusting team schedules based on needs in the field
• Connecting and building trust with local partners—municipalities, hospitals, service users
• Coordinating with other STEP IN teams so our services complement and strengthen each other
• Acting as a motivator and practical team lead—fixing what's broken when you can, and arranging repairs when you can't
• Supporting your team to deliver services that meet STEP IN's high professional standards and donor requirements
• Keeping track of project implementation—results, reporting, and spending
• Documenting activities and supporting reporting
• Sharing updates and stories from the field with our PR team
• Making sure safety and security procedures are followed at all times

What we're looking for:

• You speak fluent English and Ukrainian—or another Slavic language and you're ready to learn fast.
• You're great with people, from field staff to mayors and doctors.
• You're a practical thinker—when something doesn't work, you don't panic, you fix it.
• You're organised and can plan complex team movements based on needs and priorities.
• You're comfortable using MS Office and keeping things documented and on track.
• You have a valid driver's license and know how to use it.
• You're willing to be in the field a lot, sometimes overnight.
• You've done coordination work before—especially in humanitarian or community settings (a big plus).
• You've worked with multidisciplinary teams and diverse partners (another plus).

Contract start date & duration:

• Start date: November 2025
• Duration: minimum 6 months
