Multi-Cloud DevOps Engineer

Join a leading US-based company at the forefront of audit automation. Our platform integrates directly with tools like GitHub to automate and enforce policy adherence across branch management, repositories, and pull request workflows. We help engineering teams dramatically reduce the risk of unapproved changes for enterprise clients.

We currently have a working startup-level environment and now need to scale it to a robust, production-grade, multi-cloud platform. You will be the senior DevOps engineer driving this transition: designing environments, production CI/CD, observability, and reliability across regions and clouds, with AWS as the primary platform.

• Design, build, and maintain production-grade infrastructure for our audit automation platform, with AWS as the main cloud.

• Define and implement multi-environment setups (dev, test, staging, production) with clear promotion paths and release strategies.

• Build and own CI/CD pipelines (GitHub-centric) for applications running on AWS Elastic Beanstalk and related services.

• Design and operate highly available, multi-region deployments, including disaster recovery and failover strategies.

• Contribute to and support multi-cloud tenancy patterns (AWS as primary, with Azure and GCP as additional deployment targets).

• Configure and manage AWS ElastiCache/Redis for application caching and session management.

• Establish and evolve a comprehensive observability stack (metrics, logs, traces, alerting) for both infrastructure and applications.

• Integrate and operate incident management and on-call workflows using tools such as PagerDuty and FireHydrant.

• Work closely with engineering to ensure infrastructure, deployment and rollback strategies align with secure, auditable workflows around GitHub repositories and PRs.

• Implement and maintain infrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform / CloudFormation) and ensure environments are reproducible and well-documented.

• Collaborate with security and product teams to support compliance, auditability, and data governance, especially for EU customers.

• Mentor other engineers on DevOps and cloud best practices and contribute to a culture of reliability and continuous improvement.

• 3+ years of hands-on DevOps / SRE / Cloud Engineering experience.

• Strong, recent experience with AWS as the primary cloud (designing, operating, and securing production workloads).

• Proven experience taking a system from development/startup environment to production, including environment design, readiness, and cut-over.

• Solid experience building and maintaining production CI/CD pipelines, ideally tightly integrated with GitHub (e.g. GitHub Actions or similar).

• Experience running applications on AWS Elastic Beanstalk or similar PaaS, plus related AWS services (EC2, load balancers, networking, IAM, etc.).

• Practical experience with AWS ElastiCache / Redis in production.

• Experience designing and running multi-environment setups (dev/test/stage/prod) and promoting changes safely between them.

• Demonstrated observability expertise: metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and alerting (e.g. CloudWatch / OpenTelemetry / Prometheus / Grafana or similar).

• Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar).

• Production experience with at least one container/orchestration stack (Docker, ECS, EKS, or equivalent).

• At least 1 year of practical experience with Azure (real workloads, not just certifications).

• At least 1 year of practical experience with GCP.

• Strong understanding of networking, security, identity and access management, and common cloud architecture patterns.

• Comfortable working in a startup-like environment: high ownership, ambiguity, and end-to-end responsibility for outcomes.

• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate closely with developers, product, and security teams.

• Experience with Vercel for frontend deployments and edge-oriented architectures.

• Hands-on experience with PagerDuty and FireHydrant (or similar incident management platforms) in real on-call environments.

• Experience working on projects subject to GDPR and EU data retention policies, including data residency considerations (e.g. EU-only data storage).

• Background in security, compliance, or audit-driven environments (e.g. SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar).

• Prior experience in early-stage startups or building v1 production infrastructure from scratch.
