About Us

UA Mental Help is a nonprofit improving mental health and well-being in Ukraine, especially for vulnerable groups - women, youth, LGBTQ+ individuals, displaced people, and helping professionals. We provide accessible psychological support, high-quality psychoeducation, and advocate for systemic change.

The Role

We are seeking a
high-level Operations Director
to lead and integrate our core operational functions — including finance, human resources, legal affairs, administration, and digital operations. This is a
strategic leadership role
with cross-functional responsibility and a mandate to build a strong, resilient internal infrastructure to support the organization's mission and sustainable growth.

This position is based
on-site in Kyiv
and requires a proactive leader committed to hands-on, in-person management and close collaboration with the executive team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and optimize operational systems to ensure efficiency, compliance, and strategic alignment.
  • Oversee financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and internal controls.
  • Supervise HR functions including hiring, team development, and organizational culture.
  • Ensure legal integrity of organizational processes, managing risk and contractual obligations.
  • Manage digital infrastructure and support the development of tech-enabled services and platforms.
  • Coordinate administrative functions and support the day-to-day operations of all departments.
  • Act as a key leadership figure, contributing to strategic planning and decision-making at the highest level.

Who You Are

  • A seasoned operations leader with at least 5–7 years of experience in senior roles within NGOs, mission-driven organizations, or complex operational environments.
  • Strong knowledge of finance, HR, legal, or digital domains — ideally across multiple areas.
  • Able to lead both strategically and operationally, with excellent problem-solving and team leadership skills.
  • Fluent in Ukrainian with professional working proficiency in English.
  • Based in Kyiv and committed to regular in-office presence.
