Boyden is honored to collaborate with our client in the search for a Senior Internal Control Manager.
Our client is one of the largest service companies in Ukraine, part of an international group headquartered in Europe. With nearly 30 years on the market, the company is among the country's top taxpayers and long-term investors in digital infrastructure, while also driving large-scale social and humanitarian initiatives.
The Senior Internal Control Manager will be responsible for strengthening the internal control framework across the Group, ensuring compliance with SOX methodology, and supporting management in risk management and governance matters. The role involves close collaboration with senior leadership and external auditors, offering significant autonomy and impact.
Reporting to – Head of Internal Controls
Location – Remote / EU Time zone
Key responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and optimize internal controls within business processes
- Support management in risk assessment, design of controls, and remediation of deficiencies
- Lead and coordinate the annual SOX cycle (scoping, planning, testing, reporting)
- Act as custodian of SOX methodology and provide expertise to stakeholders
- Ensure timely response to audit findings and proper root-cause analysis
- Provide training and guidance to business units on risk and control topics
- Monitor follow-up on control deficiencies and escalate significant gaps
Key qualifications:
- 5+ years of relevant experience (Big 4, audit, risk management, or internal control)
- Strong knowledge of COSO, SOX, corporate governance, and risk management
- Proficiency in PowerBI and financial systems
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, Audit, or Business Administration; professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CIA, COSO or equivalent)
- Advanced English
- High level of professionalism, analytical mindset, ability to work independently, and to engage with senior management
