Project Coordinator Specialist

The Project Coordinator plays a pivotal role in leading and managing the implementation of field projects, ensuring strategic direction, management, and evaluation. Key responsibilities include team leadership, security oversight, and liaison with local authorities and stakeholders to achieve project objectives effectively.

Project Overview

Medair operates a multi-sectoral response in conflict-affected areas, aiding vulnerable populations. The Project Coordinator will oversee delivery in Shelter, NFI, MPCA, Health, Protection, and MHPSS, while exploring new opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Support project identification and design, carrying out research and making recommendations for interventions.
• Oversee project implementation, ensuring objectives, timelines, and budgets are met.
• Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships, representing Medair in meetings and networks.
• Collaborate with team members to assess security risks, update protocols, and train staff on security measures.

Qualifications and Experience

• University degree in a relevant subject, such as Management, Development Studies, or Business Administration.
• Strong working knowledge of English (spoken and written).
• Knowledge of Humanitarian Essentials, Sphere, and HAP Standards and other humanitarian guidelines and protocols.
