We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as an Investment Officer in Kyiv. This role offers a unique opportunity to grow our in-country footprint and expand our business in Ukraine.
The selected candidate will work across the IFC business cycle, with a particular focus on business development, transaction execution, and asset management. The position will be under the supervision of the Ukraine Infrastructure Lead.
Key responsibilities include:
• Coordinating infrastructure business development activities in Ukraine and developing a strong pipeline of investments
• Supporting the expansion of our footprint in Kyiv by working with the Europe Infrastructure Management team and the Ukraine Infrastructure Lead to grow the team and oversee workload
• Building and maintaining relationships with clients, private businesses, banking partners, and government officials to develop investment opportunities
• Evaluating new business leads, structuring potential transactions, and deploying pre-investment and investment products
• Leading negotiations and documentation for pre-investment and investment projects
A successful candidate will have a Master's degree or equivalent qualification in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field, and at least 4 years of experience in infrastructure project investment and financing activities, with some prior experience in Ukraine. Strong communication skills and ability to interact directly with clients and partners are essential. Knowledge of local context and market dynamics in Ukraine is also required. Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Master's degree or equivalent qualification in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field
* At least 4 years of experience in infrastructure project investment and financing activities, with some prior experience in Ukraine
* Strong communication skills and ability to interact directly with clients and partners
* Genuine commitment to development and understanding of IFC's strategic priorities
