Financial Development Officer

This role involves working with senior officers to originate, design, negotiate, structure and implement Upstream engagements in the Manufacturing, Agribusiness and Services sectors in Europe. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering on assigned tasks and initiatives within the framework of MAS EUR Upstream engagements and projects.
The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in business, finance or economics, with at least 7 years of experience in corporate and project finance, investment banking, industrial economics or business consulting. They should have a deep understanding of MAS sectors and a strong track record of financial and contractual closings of investment transactions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting the MAS EUR Upstream team with business development and investment origination.
- Identifying and assessing impactful and innovative investment opportunities, conducting integrity due diligence, and reviewing the financial statements and projections of companies within relevant sectors.
- Preparing client proposals and related internal project documents, overseeing internal approval processes at different stages of client engagements, and assisting in bringing these engagements to financial close.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
The World Bank Group is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual with excellent analytical, communication and leadership skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development, investment banking, or a related field, with a proven track record of success in identifying and executing investment opportunities.
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Master's degree in business, finance or economics.
- At least 7 years of experience in corporate and project finance, investment banking, industrial economics or business consulting.
- Deep understanding of MAS sectors and a strong track record of financial and contractual closings of investment transactions.
