Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Development Department Manager located in Lviv. The Development Department Manager will be responsible for overseeing the development of new products, ensuring they meet the company's sustainability standards, and managing a team of developers. Additionally, the role includes coordinating with other departments, maintaining timelines, and ensuring high-quality output. A crucial aspect of the role is to foster innovation within the team while aligning with the company's goals and values.

Main tasks:

• Manage the day-to-day operations & planning within the constructor team

• Manage workload balancing between constructors, to secure deadlines as well as requested quality and price level

• Delegate incoming requests, tasks & assignments

• Organizing employee schedules

• Manage efficient team communication

• Support effective communication between constructors, other team members and other departments. Take pro-active actions where needed

Develop & follow styles & samples, including securing the fit, quality and cost price level requested.

Grading of patterns according to the required range of garment sizes & received customer size specs.

Selection of accessories, preparation of sketches and other relevant information, working together with technologists to optimize operations and prepare the style for an efficient production process.

Monitor overall performance of team, conducting employee reviews & performance evaluations. Take pro-active actions where needed

• Coaching & developing of team members

• Monitor if team members work according to the instructions. Take pro-active actions in case of any deviation.

• Monitor performance related to requested deadlines & quality. Take pro-active actions in case of any deviation

• Support recruitment process of new employees, assist with onboarding and training program

• Documenting operational activities, status & performance and reporting to management

Qualifications

•     Proven management & coaching skills

•     Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills

•     Being proactive, well-structured, and attentive to details

•     Strong organizational skills and proven experience with managing complex plannings, capacity & workload balancing.

•     Knowledge of industry related & complex processes, with a specific focus on construction of patterns, sampling & production

•     Strong business understanding with a problem-solving & pro-active attitude

•     Excellent time management, organizational skills, ability to multitask

•     Ability to make decisions and work autonomously

•     Being able to train & motivate team members

•     Experienced user of Microsoft Office tools such as outlook, word & excel

•     Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

•     German (optional)

•     Self-motivated

•     Stress tolerance
