Boyden is pleased to support a confidential search for a Head of Accounting for a leading multinational B2B company.

The organization is a recognized global player with operations in over 100 countries and headquarters in Europe. In Ukraine, the company employs around 170 people and generates annual revenues of approximately USD 60 million. Globally, the company unites more than 100,000 employees and is known as a trusted and reputable employer.

Location: Kyiv

Reports to: Regional Head of Accounting (CEE) and Finance Director in Ukraine

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the accounting team, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
  • Maintain and supervise accounting processes in compliance with local legislation and tax regulations.
  • Prepare statutory financial and tax reporting (including tax declarations) in line with deadlines.
  • Deliver consolidated financial statements according to IFRS and corporate reporting calendars.
  • Ensure compliance with internal control standards and cooperate with internal audit teams.
  • Coordinate and support internal and external audits, including tax audits.
  • Manage interactions with tax authorities and government institutions.
  • Evaluate, monitor, and mitigate accounting and tax-related risks.
  • Provide advisory support to the finance team on day-to-day operations.
  • Drive cooperation with the Accounting Competence Center in Warsaw and monitor service levels.
  • Support transfer pricing documentation preparation together with external consultants.
  • Participate in implementation of group and local projects, especially those driven by new legislative requirements.
  • Monitor tax and accounting legislation changes and ensure continuous knowledge updates.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a Chief Accountant / Head of Accounting / Deputy Chief Accountant role within a medium or large international company.
  • High proficiency in MS Excel; practical knowledge of SAP (user level).
  • Proven experience in preparation of IFRS financial statements.
  • Strong expertise in local tax regulations, accounting standards, and reporting.
  • Proficiency in English at Upper-Intermediate level or higher (written and verbal business communication).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams and organizational levels.
  • Analytical mindset, proactive approach, and problem-solving orientation.
  • Higher education in Accounting, Finance, or Economics (Master's degree required).
  • Professional certifications (CPA, ACCA, tax advisor, or auditor) are considered an advantage.
