The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Platform Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building and maintaining scalable, reliable, and secure cloud platforms. You will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and optimizing our core infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations and supporting our ambitious growth initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain robust and scalable platform infrastructure on AWS.
- Develop and deploy microservices and applications using Laravel, , and Docker.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and automated software delivery.
- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions for optimization.
- Ensure platform security, compliance, and disaster recovery readiness.
- Collaborate with development teams to define and implement best practices for application deployment and operations.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Participate in on-call rotations for critical system support.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar role.
- Strong expertise in AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, ECS/EKS, CloudWatch, etc.).
- Experience with Laravel framework for building web applications.
- Proficiency in for backend development and API creation.
- In-depth knowledge of Docker for containerization and orchestration.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline).
- Solid understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) principles and tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with implementing security best practices and vulnerability management.
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, SOC2) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- A corresponding degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
Nice to have
- Experience with message brokers like RabbitMQ or Kafka.
- Knowledge of other programming languages (e.g., Python, Go).
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
