Mobile QA Automation Specialist

We are a product company in Silicon Valley, looking for a Mobile QA Automation Specialist.

Type: Full-time remote position. Start date: ASAP.

About the project and position:

Our Virtual Private Network (VPN) app provides users with online privacy and anonymity by creating a private network from a public internet connection.

The VPN app has over 44 million monthly active users worldwide, with a strong customer base in the US and other countries. Our iOS app is the #1 product in 32 out of 40 countries when searching for 'VPN' in the App Store.

We are seeking an experienced Mobile QA Engineer to work on multiple applications, ensuring smooth performance and excellent user experience for our apps.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Mobile Development team, DevOps team, and stakeholders
• Collaborate with the Customer Service Support team to troubleshoot user issues
• Verify initial task requirements
• Review, update, and execute test cases
• Participate in pre-release and post-release activities
• Bug reporting, verification of fixes and changes, and further monitoring

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of experience in testing mobile applications for Android and iOS
• Practical experience in automation testing with Java
• Experience with IDEs for mobile development, such as Android Studio or XCode
• Knowledge of bug-tracking systems and writing test documentation
• Understanding of CI/CD processes and tools
• Experience with Virtual Machines
• Practical experience with GitHub
• Proficiency with JMeter, Postman, Charles, Maven, IntelliJ IDEA, Jira, TestRail, and Google Play/AppStore ecosystem
• Strong understanding of UX/UI principles and SDLC
• Excellent communication skills
