Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer

Swarmer is a Vendor-Agnostic Autonomy for Coordinated Robots. We develop AI-managed collaborative autonomy to make teams of connected drones and autonomous systems smart, efficient, and self-improving over time.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

We are looking for an experienced Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to take ownership of the management, support, and continuous development of our secure IT infrastructure. You will be the key technical owner for our identity and access management, core infrastructure services, and endpoint management, ensuring they are reliable, secure, and running efficiently. 

This is a great role for a "hands-on" engineer who focuses on system reliability, security, and automation. You'll work closely with the developer and operational teams to support daily operations, implement new services, and continuously improve our IT infrastructure.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Endpoint & Systems Management: Lead implementation and administration of our Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions to enforce "zero-touch" provisioning and security compliance across our macOS and Windows fleet.

• Identity & Access Management (IAM): Manage the user identity lifecycle within our IAM platform, ensuring secure, role-based access (RBAC) and SSO integration for all corporate applications.

• Endpoint Security & Hardening: Deploy, manage, and optimize our endpoint protection (NGAV/EDR) and device security stack, ensuring 100% compliance with corporate security baselines and policies (encryption, passcode policies, etc.).

• Vulnerability & Patch Management: Own the technical process for vulnerability remediation; collaborate with the security team to identify, prioritize, and deploy patches to endpoints and systems in a timely manner.

• AI & SaaS Platform Management: Administer and securely integrate corporate SaaS applications and emerging AI tools into our environment, managing access, data governance, and ensuring compliance.

• IT Infrastructure Operations: Manage and maintain core IT services, including cloud and network infrastructure. Proactively identify opportunities for automation.

• Compliance & Audit Support: Serve as a technical subject matter expert during internal audits and external certifications, providing evidence and documentation for IT controls.

• Advanced Technical Support & Escalation: Serve as the escalation point for complex technical issues, providing expert-level user support and troubleshooting for systems, networks, and emerging platform tools.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in an IT Infrastructure, Systems Engineering, or similar role with a strong security focus.

• MDM Expertise: Deep, hands-on expertise in designing, deploying, and managing modern MDM platforms (e.g., Jamf Pro, Microsoft Intune, Kandji) in a corporate environment.

• Identity Management: Expert-level knowledge of IAM/SSO concepts and platforms (e.g., Okta, Entra ID, Ping Identity), including lifecycle management and provisioning.

• Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of supporting and managing macOS and Windows operating systems and their related directory services.

• Security-First Mindset: A proven track record of implementing and managing technical security controls. Experience in an environment governed by compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2) is a significant advantage.

• Automation & Scripting: Demonstrable experience automating IT tasks using scripting languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, or Python).

• Problem Solver: Advanced analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex, cross-functional technical challenges.

• Communication: Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to various stakeholders.
