About the Job

We are seeking a IT Engineer to manage and optimize our IT operations for Corepunk. This senior-level position involves making critical technical decisions and implementing robust infrastructure solutions. You will play a key role in ensuring our systems are secure, scalable, and aligned with the needs of our game development process.

Developing MMORPGs is both challenging and rewarding. We are looking for someone who shares our passion for innovation and excellence to join us on this journey.

Responsibilities

  • Technical Decision-Making:

Lead infrastructure-related decisions using industry best practices.

Assess current systems and implement improvements for optimal performance and scalability.

  • Hands-On Implementation:

Manage and maintain Linux and Windows servers.

Configure and optimize network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls.

Troubleshoot complex technical issues promptly.

  • Collaboration:

Work closely with the Corepunk development team to support development tools and environments.

Ensure IT infrastructure meets project requirements and deadlines.

  • Security:

Oversee system security, implementing firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and secure access protocols.

Ensure compliance with industry security standards.

  • Team Leadership:

Manage the IT team, including a System Administrator and a DevOps Engineer.

Mentor team members and coordinate their efforts to support Corepunk's goals.

Requirements

  • Experience:

Minimum of 7 years in IT infrastructure, system administration, or DevOps.

  • Technical Skills:

Virtualization: Proficiency with VMware or Hyper-V.

Networking: Deep understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, and load balancers.

Server Administration: Proficient in Linux and Windows environments.

  • Problem-Solving:

Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.

  • Communication:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
