Communication Specialist

WHAT YOU'LL DO​ 

As a Communications Specialist & Press Officer for Ukraine, you will contribute to added customer value, a strong brand, and increased sales by ensuring high-quality PR & Communications activities, both internally and externally. You will be a key player in protecting & balancing the narrative of the brand on a market level. You will collaborate closely with the other teams in the Customer Activation Team to be able to find synergies and maximize the effect of our earned communication, both internally & externally.

You will: 

• Build trust & develop H&M's local general media picture together with the Regional Communications Specialist & Press Officer Manager and proactively pitch news from H&M in selected focus areas.
• Manage local reactive media relations (press telephone and mail), and the local media relations team, and ensuring that the global communications and media policies are being followed locally.
• Communicate H&M messages externally and internally in communications issues, together with Head Office and the Regional Communications Specialist & Press Officer Manager.
• Adapt and quality-proof press releases, including creating local press releases when relevant.
• Support local market Communications activities within areas such as expansion, innovation, sustainability & employer branding.
• Manage the local edition of H&M's internal communication channels, including publishing global and regional content, creating local news, and distributing H&M news.
• Secure the quality and tone of voice in all translations of global material used in the internal communication channels. 
• Plan, execute, and follow up on local internal communications activities in collaboration with other local departments such as e.g. Human Resource.
• Identify, monitor, interact, and develop a network with current and upcoming journalists and opinion leaders in Ukraine and work proactively (including attending relevant events).
• Follow up and report on KPIs and objectives connected to project responsibility, showing the connection to added customer value and the business when possible.

WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH​ 

You will be part of the regional PR & Communication function and work closely with the Communication Specialist & Press Officer Manager. You will cooperate with Communication Specialists & Press Officers from other countries of the region. Locally you will work closely with Area Manager, HR Manager, Security team & colleagues from Customer Activation & Marketing team. Your tasks will require you to cooperate with Global Media Relations team, Customer Service team & other functions. You will be the main point of contact for local media & key opinion leaders. 

WHO YOU ARE​ 

We are looking for people with…​ 

• 3 years' experience from similar positions and/or within PR/Communications.
• Experience in high-level media analysis.
• Project management skills with strong brand focus.
• Experience in Corporate, Crisis Comms & Fashion PR, also experience in Internal Comms & preferably Employer Branding.
• Fluent written and spoken Ukrainian and English languages with excellent communication skills.
• Proven track results in building &/or protecting the brand through PR, media relations and internal communications.
• Proficiency in MS Office - Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

• Experienced in media relations.
• Excellent relationship builder.
• Able to work independently and be self-motivated while still working within a team environment.
