Senior React Native Developer

Project description: You will join a quite challenging project with the opportunity to improve the set of current products in the transportation domain for the EU market. You will be responsible for technical decisions, feature implementation, code review, and root-cause analysis. In addition to development, you will also be involved in active communication with stakeholders and responsible for building technical roadmaps and facilitating discussions in problem-solving.

Project stack: JavaScript, Typescript, , Java11, Spring Boot, Maven, Git, MongoDB, Swagger, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Kibana, Azure Web Services, Azure DevOps, GitHub.

React Native: Redux-Toolkit/React-Query/Mobx, Firebase (Notifications/Analytics), Google Map, WebSocket;

Project team: 2 Back-end Developers, 1 Front-end Developer, 2 Mobile Developers, 3 QA Engineers, DevOps, UI/UX Designer, Project Manager/Scrum Master, and 1 Business Analyst.

• 5+ years of commercial experience with React Native development

• Expert-level knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript

• Strong experience with state management solutions (Redux-Toolkit, MobX, React-Query)

• Hands-on experience with for web development

• Solid knowledge of Android Studio and Xcode for debugging

• Understanding of React Native New Architecture

• Proficiency with WebSockets and real-time communication tools

• Experience with offline-first architecture and data synchronization techniques

• Strong understanding of mobile app lifecycle management, including App Store/Play Store submission, versioning, and post-release monitoring

• Advanced knowledge of monitoring and analytics tools (e.g., Sentry, Firebase) for proactive issue identification and resolution

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of native iOS (Swift) or Android (Kotlin) development

• Experience building native modules

• Familiarity with NoSQL databases (MongoDB)

• Exposure to for mobile-oriented APIs

• Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines

• Experience with alerting systems and proactive monitoring practices

• Previous leadership or mentoring experience

• Excellent English communication skills (Upper-Intermediate level or higher) – clear and confident with stakeholders

• Strong decision-making skills to evaluate and recommend effective technical solutions

• Proven ability to take ownership of mobile app tech roadmap and proactively identify/mitigate technical risks

• Collaborative mindset with the ability to effectively communicate with Product Owners and developers

• Strong knowledge of Agile principles and Scrum framework

Development & Technical Leadership:

• Design, build, and maintain React Native mobile applications.

• Define and implement the technical roadmap for mobile development.

• Take full ownership of features from concept to release — including debugging, testing, and deployment.

• Deliver production-ready apps using best practices.

• Lead and participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality standards.

• Stay up to date with a modern React Native approach like New Architecture (Fabric, TurboModules) and follow react-native cutting-edge practices.

Collaboration & Communication:

• Work closely with the business analyst and PO to shape functionalities and align with requirements.

• Collaborate with backend, web, QA, and UI/UX teams to deliver seamless solutions.

• Communicate effectively with European stakeholders and an international team.

• Support front-end web development ) when needed (up to 50% of workload).

Process & Quality Management:

• Follow, refine, and improve development processes and practices.

• Create and maintain technical documentation.

• Investigate system issues, run root-cause analysis, and provide solutions.

• Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and quality standards (Sentry, Firebase, CI/CD).

• Apply Agile principles and work effectively in a Scrum framework.
