We are looking for an experienced and people-focused Team Leader to join our Mechanical Engineering Team in Kyiv, which plays a critical role in the development of 3Shape's next-generation 3D scanners for dental and medical applications.

This is a unique opportunity to lead and further shape a team of 7 highly skilled mechanical engineers in Ukraine, while driving collaboration with our global R&D organization—especially the engineering teams in Copenhagen, but also Production site in Poland.

As a Team Leader, you will be instrumental in structuring the way the local team works, aligning with our internal standards, and developing a long-term vision for how the team can grow and continue to deliver business-critical value as part of 3Shape's hardware development landscape. This includes owning our SolidWorks-based CAD system setup, documentation quality, and contributing to technical excellence across hardware design.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead and develop a high-performing mechanical engineering team in Ukraine, currently focused on 3D CAD design, documentation, and SolidWorks infrastructure.

•Ensure consistent quality and ownership of CAD models, product data, and mechanical design documentation—critical assets for both R&D and production.

•Actively drive cross-site collaboration with engineering teams in Copenhagen and other global locations.

•Maintain clear team direction and alignment within the broader product development process.

•Contribute to mechanical design work including 3D models, drawings, specifications, and prototype evaluations.

•Oversee and continuously improve internal workflows, business processes, and documentation aligned with ISO standards and regulated product development.

•Act as a solid people manager—ensuring team engagement, skill development, and technical delivery.

•Serve as a local process owner for the SolidWorks and PDM setup, including configuration control and structured data handling.

Required Qualifications

•Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

•5+ years of mechanical development experience and 2+ years in a leadership role.

•Strong skills in SolidWorks and mechanical construction/design.

•Solid experience with PDM/PLM systems and configuration control.

•Proven track record in structured product development—ideally in a regulated industry (e.g., medical devices).

•Excellent English and Ukrainian communication skills (verbal and written).

•Demonstrated ability to work with drawings, specifications, and documentation standards.

•Experience in cross-disciplinary projects involving electronics, optics or software is a plus.
