Senior Specialist in Eco-Social Risk Management

JSC "BANK CREDIT DNIPRO" — a universal bank offering a full range of financial and banking services — invites a Senior Specialist in Eco-Social Risk Management to join its team

Work schedule: five-day work week, Sat., Sun. - days off

The tasks of the position include ensuring:

• functioning of the Environmental and Social Management System (ESMS), in particular, timely identification and assessment of existing environmental and social risks, including preparation of materials and conclusions for making decisions on lending taking into account environmental and social risks, proposals for their mitigation, monitoring, control, and reporting on environmental and social risks;
• taking into account environmental and social risks in the conclusions on loan projects financed by the Bank, as well as the development of a Social and Environmental Action Plan (SEAP), etc.;
• development of monitoring mechanisms and tools for analyzing environmental and social risks and their improvement, if necessary;
• participation in investigations of significant (serious) environmental and social incidents or accidents;
• participation in the preparation of permanent and special reports for the Funds, as necessary;
• preparation and submission for consideration by the Management Board, Supervisory Board and other collegial bodies of the Bank of reports on the assessment of environmental and social risks;
• performing other tasks within the scope of competence

Candidate requirements:

• Higher education in engineering specialties (ecology and environmental protection, environmental engineering, etc.) and/or higher education in social sciences (sociology, political science, law, economics);
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in environmental and social compliance, including a minimum of 3 years of experience in assessing, managing and monitoring environmental and social risks of projects financed by international financial institutions (including high-risk and significant-risk projects), expertise in Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA/ESIA), Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP), Environmental and Social Action Plan (ESAP), gender equality policy impact, citizen engagement and social communications;
• Comprehensive knowledge and practical experience in implementing environmental and social policies in accordance with the standards and requirements of international financial institutions (IBRD, IFC, EBRD, EIB and others);
• Comprehensive knowledge of the requirements of Ukrainian environmental and social legislation, EU Directives;
• Experience working in similar projects of financial institutions funded by international financial organizations and donors will be an advantage;
• Knowledge of English at level B1 (Intermediate);
• Good knowledge and ability to work with software systems.
