Boyden is pleased to support a confidential search for a CEO on behalf of an international renewable energy company.

In Ukraine, the company has developed and currently operates several solar power plants with total investments of around USD 80 million and a capacity exceeding 50 megawatts. In the near future, our client aims to expand its presence in Ukraine, targeting 100 megawatts through the acquisition and construction of new projects. This role also offers the potential for promotion to a regional leadership position, as the company owns assets across Europe and North America.

Location: Kyiv

Responsibilities

  • Management of the business activities of the client (12 companies in Ukraine in total)
  • Carrying out financial planning, budget management, and timely execution of financial operations with the right of first signature on documents
  • Development, implementation, and monitoring of procedures and control tools, including the implementation of six HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) and engineering processes compliant with Sigma standards, covering workflows from engineering to construction, accounting, reporting structure, notifications and remediation schedules, payment oversight, etc.
  • Development and supervision of internal projects (budgeting, contract negotiations, supplier selection, management of O&M and EPC relationships, technical input into financial model development)
  • Organization of remote monitoring of the technical operation of the company's power plants and other assets
  • Preparation of quarterly and annual reports for the EBRD in accordance with credit agreements and maintaining ongoing communication with other stakeholders
  • Communication with lenders, potential investors, and other stakeholders
  • Organization of inspections and supervision of repairs of the company's power plants, inventory management, replenishment, and control of spare parts circulation
  • Execution and organization of the implementation of decisions of the General Meeting of Participants of the company in compliance with legislation

Qualifications

  • Proven executive-level experience in operations or general management within the energy.
  • Demonstrated experience in
    managing multiple legal entities
    , including compliance with local legislation, reporting to parent companies, and working with regulators and financial institutions
  • Hands-on expertise in
    O&M and EPC contract management
    , project budgeting, supplier negotiations, and technical input into financial modelling
  • Solid understanding of
    HSE standards and engineering processes
    ; proven track record of implementing safety, environmental, and quality control systems
  • Experience in
    stakeholder management
    including communication with lenders, investors, regulators, and state authorities
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to
    manage multidisciplinary teams
    .
  • Background in
    renewable energy or power generation
    operations, including plant monitoring, maintenance, inspections, and performance optimization, is a strong advantage
  • Proficiency in English and Ukrainian
