What we search for:
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma
  • Create visual target UI screens for art style validation and IP holder approval
  • Design, test, iterate, and finalize intuitive navigation structures, menu layouts, and HUDs
  • Maintain style consistency with the game's art direction
  • Work closely with game designers to ensure UI fully supports gameplay mechanics
  • Create wireframes, user flows, and interaction prototypes
  • Ensure accessibility standards (e.g., color blindness modes, readability)
  • Ability to define and implement UI/UX pipelines and documentation
  • Previous experience designing UX for gamepad navigation, ideally with complex UIs featuring hints, contextual interactions, and layered menus
  • Gaming experience in AAA games
Responsibilities:
  • Investigate the game and new features introduced through expansions, assessing how they impact user interaction
  • Develop UX improvements and mockups for required UI adjustments based on gamepad-focused interaction
  • Prepare clear descriptions of proposed changes for both the client and developers
  • Ensure the game meets quality standards and remains aligned with the established concept, genre, and overall vision
  • Participate in discussions with the client regarding implementation details when needed
  • Perform high-level verification after implementation to ensure the intended UX goals are achieved
Seniority expectation:
This role will function as the second UI/UX owner on the project. Therefore, the ideal candidate would be at Advanced Middle or Senior with strong UX skills but without the necessity of senior-level leadership responsibilities.

Would be nice to have:
  • Ability to balance immersion and functionality across complex UI systems
  • Experience with motion graphics and dynamic UI systems
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for game design and understanding of core gameplay loops and player behavior
  • Strong focus on UX rather than purely visual UI work, as the main challenge is ensuring smooth and intuitive gamepad interaction
  • Experience working on strategy games is a significant plus
