We are looking for a
Legal Compliance Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Participation in the implementation of a market compliance system (fields included: antitrust, REMIT, EMIR, MIFID II, FinFrag) within holding's companies (Ukraine, Switzerland and EU-based):

• participation in the planning, administration and implementation of regulatory compliance systems in the countries of presence
• development and implementation of processes to comply with regulatory requirements;
• drafting of internal regulations
• analysis/evaluation of the company's activities, risks identification and mitigation
• analysis of the wholesale energy markets functioning in Ukraine/EU/Switzerland
• analysis and preparation of proposals for draft laws, draft regulations of the National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission, the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine, and the National Securities and Stock Market Commission
• maintenance of market entry procedures, obtaining licenses & registrations and support of conclusion of relevant contracts
• advising on legal issues related to the company's operational activities, including on licensing issues, regulatory obligations in Ukraine and abroad, REMIT/EMIR/MIFID II related matters.
• ensuring monitoring of changes in regulatory requirements in countries of presence; and
• analysis of relevant court practice etc.

Requirements:

• Relevant higher education
• At least three years of experience as a legal counsel (associate), senior or leading legal counsel (senior associate), compliance specialist
• Upper-ntermediate level in written and spoken English is mandatory
• Experience in preparing internal documents (policies, procedures, instructions and other corporate documentation), including documents in English, is mandatory
• Basic understanding of trading processes in the energy products/financial instruments/derivatives markets
• Knowledge of Ukrainian legislation on the functioning of electricity and natural gas markets (Law of Ukraine "On the Electricity Market", Law of Ukraine "On the Natural Gas Market", the Market Rules (electricity), the Rules of the Day-ahead and Intraday Markets, the Transmission System Code and the Distribution System Code), the Law of Ukraine "On Capital Markets and
• Organized Commodity Markets", and antimonopoly legislation is an advantage
• Ability to analyze and apply norms of national and foreign law, international agreements, etc.;
• Experience of interaction with the National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission, the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine, and the National Securities and Stock Market Commission is an advantage
• Experience of interaction with specialized international organizations (ACER, ESMA, FINMA, Energy Community) is an advantage
• Participation in the development of draft laws in the fields of energy, competition law is an advantage
• Working experience in law firms in the practice of compliance or energy/competition law as well as international energy companies is an advantage
• Knowledge of requirements and procedures of EU and Swiss regulations on monitoring and control of commodities and financial markets (REMIT, EMIR, MIFID II/MIFIR, FinfraG, FMIA, FinSA) is an advantage
