REQUIREMENTS

Hemlane is a fast-growing SaaS platform transforming rental property management. Our mission is to provide rental owners with a flexible, transparent solution that can be managed from anywhere in the world, supported by a marketplace of real estate agents.

As part of the engineering team, you will build and scale features that directly improve the rental experience for property owners, managers, agents, and tenants. You will work across the full stack, backend services, APIs, and modern front-end applications, while collaborating closely with product, design, and operations to deliver impactful solutions in a fast-paced environment.

  • Translate customer needs into scalable product features.
  • Design and implement end-to-end solutions across backend, APIs, and front-end UI.
  • Collaborate with engineers to define and maintain coding standards, tools, and best practices.
  • Develop internal tools to optimize support and operational workflows.

  • Take ownership of projects, driving them from design to delivery with high quality.

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience in multi-person teams, building and shipping large features.

  • Ability to think from first principles and break down complex problems into novel, bottom-up solutions.
  • Results-oriented with strong ownership and follow-through to ensure project completion.
  • Self-motivated and entrepreneurial, with a passion for pursuing impactful opportunities.
  • Excellent communication skills to clearly articulate requirements, challenges, and product ideas.
  • Full-stack experience with: , React, , PostgreSQL.

Bonus Skills

  • Ruby on Rails experience.
  • Familiarity with GraphQL and Apollo.
  • Experience with TypeScript.
  • Strong preference for raw SQL with working knowledge of PostgreSQL.
  • Exposure to the LangChain ecosystem for AI applications.
  • BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
