Our client is a trusted system integrator delivering tailored technology solutions to clients across various industries, with a strong presence in Kyiv. Their focus is on complex B2B systems, digital transformation projects, and high-load platforms.

As they scale their engineering team, we're looking for a Senior Java Engineer to help build robust, scalable backend systems and drive the technical quality of their product offerings.

What You'll Do

  • Design and develop high-performance backend services using Java (Spring ecosystem).

  • Work on complex integration projects for telecom and enterprise clients.

  • Contribute to system architecture, performance optimization, and scalability improvements.

  • Take ownership of features from idea to production deployment.

  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and team mentoring.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, QA, and Business Analysts.

  • Ensure code quality, security, and maintainability across the platform.

Tech Stack

  • Java 11+ (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud)

  • Microservices architecture

  • PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka

  • REST APIs, OpenAPI/Swagger

  • Docker, Kubernetes

  • CI/CD (GitLab, Jenkins)

  • Cloud (private & hybrid environments)

Your Background

  • 5+ years of professional experience in Java backend development.

  • Solid understanding of OOP, design patterns, and system architecture principles.

  • Experience working with distributed systems and microservices.

  • Hands-on experience with relational databases and message brokers.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

  • Experience in telecom projects is a strong plus.

  • Good communication skills and at least intermediate English (B1+).

Nice to Have

  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code and container orchestration (e.g., Helm, Terraform).

  • Familiarity with reactive programming and non-blocking architectures.

  • Exposure to customer-facing or enterprise integration projects.
