2D Animator

Hello Kevych Solutions is looking for a skilled 2D Animator to join our creative team. If you love bringing characters to life through movement, enjoy working in a collaborative environment, and have a passion for expressive, high-quality animation — we'd be excited to meet you

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop unique ideas for character motion, behavior, and emotional performance within the project's art style;
• Create frame-by-frame animations: emotions, attacks, transitions, FX motions;
• Produce skeletal animations: rigging, mesh deformation, IK, smooth animation blending;
• Prepare characters for animation: layering, slicing, mesh setup, controllers, proper hierarchy;
• Actively participate in brainstorming sessions and idea discussions with the team (including calls with a Native Speaker);
• Be available during working hours;
• Finalize animations, achieving high expressiveness, readability, weight, timing, and dynamics;
• Use AI tools (Stable Diffusion, Gemini, GPT, Krea, Midjourney) for reference generation, quality enhancement, and producing intermediate poses;
• Follow deadlines and adhere to the project pipeline.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in 2D character animation in casual game style;
• Strong expertise in frame-by-frame and skeletal animation (character cycles, emotions, combat, transitions);
• Strong focus on character animation, including pose, weight, timing, squash & stretch principles;
• Professional-level proficiency in Adobe Photoshop (character preparation, hand-painted frames, textures);
• A portfolio showcasing character animations (required);
• English level B2 or higher;
• Experience with preparing artwork for animation: slicing, rig setup, mesh deformation;
• Proficiency with Spline Animation tools (Spine, DragonBones, Unity 2D Animation, After Effects).

Nice to have:

• Are confident in using ComfyUI and/or Forge, including internal editors;
• Generate video using Veo3, Sora2, KlingAI;
• Can generate artwork using txt2img, img2img, and ControlNet (Canny, Depth, etc.) as well as Inpaint;
• Are capable of applying AI-based edits: adjusting poses, changing style, refining composition, and similar tasks;
• Experience integration Art to Unity;
• Ability to create icons and UI elements consistent with the overall visual style of the game;
• Ability to train and use LoRA / Custom Models;
• Ability to train and use custom GPT / Gemini chatbots.
