The Role: Hands-On Technical Leadership

We are seeking a highly
hands-on
and resourceful
Senior UAV Engineer
to lead the design, build, and integration of our aerial systems. You will be the crucial bridge between R&D innovation and rapid field deployment.

This role demands technical excellence and a practical, mission-first mindset, focusing on:

• System Architecture & Integration:
  Leading the design and integration of all onboard sub-systems, including autopilot hardware, motor/propulsion systems, and communications links for various
  UAV
  platforms (VTOL, fixed-wing, FPV).
• Autonomy & GNC:
  Deep involvement in the implementation and testing of Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) algorithms, with a specific focus on
  GNSS-denied environments
  and robust flight control using
  C++ and Python
  .
• Rapid Prototyping & Testing:
  Managing the build, assembly, wiring, and rigorous
  flight testing
  of platforms in short cycles. This is a bench-to-field role, requiring expert troubleshooting.
• Mission System Integrity:
  Ensuring payloads (ISR, strike, and relay) are seamlessly integrated, hardened, and comply with operational requirements.

Essential Requirements

• Experience:
  5+ years in
  UAV
  design, development, integration, and testing, with a proven track record of bringing physical systems to operational readiness.
• Technical Deep Dive:
  Expert proficiency in
  C++ and Python
  for firmware development, hardware interface, and data processing.
• Flight Control Expertise:
  In-depth knowledge of
  autopilot frameworks
  (e.g., ArduPilot/PX4) and strong fundamentals in flight control theory and stability.
• Hands-On Aptitude:
  Demonstrated skill in electrical assembly, soldering, wiring harnesses, and mechanical prototyping (CAD/Additive Manufacturing).
• Mission Focus:
  A dedicated interest in the defence/security sector and a strong desire to deliver highly reliable, life-saving technology quickly.

Highly Desirable

• Previous experience in a defence, military, or security-focused technology company.
• Experience with
  resilience engineering
  or systems hardening against electronic warfare.
• A background in designing for high-volume, cost-effective manufacturing (affordability is key).
