We are looking for a creative and technically skilled Photography & Imaging Specialist to join our team. This role is essential for shaping the visual quality of AI-driven photo editing features in our next-generation editor.

You will work closely with the RnD engineers, product designers, and content teams, acting as an expert in photography standards, visual aesthetics, and professional editing workflows. Your expertise will guide the team in defining high-quality AI outputs, evaluating model performance, preparing visual references, and ensuring that all visual outcomes meet professional standards.

Key Responsibilities

Visual Quality & R&D Support

• Evaluate AI model outputs (denoising, super-resolution, relighting, color grading, portrait tools, masking) and provide structured feedback to engineering teams
• Define visual quality criteria and "target outputs" for AI/non-AI features
• Identify artifacts, color issues, tonal inconsistencies, noise problems, and other technical imperfections
• Support prototype testing and R&D experimentation

Reference Creation & Dataset Support

• Create professional references, moodboards, and "ideal result" examples for model development
• Support dataset curation: selection, quality assessment, consistency checks
• Collaborate with data annotators and QA to ensure high-quality visual materials

Content Curation & Photo Management

• Curate and maintain a library of photo content for R&D, training, and demos
• Collaborate with design, product, and marketing teams to source relevant imagery
• Coordinate photoshoots or produce fresh content when needed

Professional Photo Editing Expertise

• Provide expertise in color correction, retouching, lighting, and photo enhancement
• Advise on best practices in Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and Capture One
• Ensure AI-generated results meet professional and aesthetic standards

Quality Control

• Review AI outputs and images for technical accuracy, dynamic range, noise, contrast, tonal balance
• Ensure aesthetic consistency across tone, style, and color
  Validate image readiness for various formats (web, print, demos, marketing)
  Establish and maintain visual quality benchmarks throughout R&D

Training & Internal Consulting

• Train internal teams (ML, CV, product, design) on photo evaluation principles and workflows
• Recommend improvements to post-processing and content preparation workflows
• Stay updated on trends, tools, and techniques in modern photography and editing
  
  

Requirements

Must-have

• 3–5+ years of experience in professional photography, retouching, post-production
• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Capture One
• Ability to identify and correct technical and aesthetic issues in images
• Strong portfolio showcasing professional shooting and/or editing skills
  Deep understanding of composition, lighting, color spaces, and image processing fundamentals
• Strong attention to detail and ability to provide clear, structured feedback
  Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration

Nice-to-have

• Experience with AI-powered editors 
• Knowledge of image processing concepts (noise types, sharpening, LUTs, tone mapping, dynamic range)
• Experience working with datasets and annotation workflows
• Basic understanding of ML/CV concepts for effective communication with engineers
• Experience with CGI, LUT creation, or video post-production
