Senior Modernization and Upgrades Project Manager

Svitla Systems Inc. is seeking a Senior Modernization and Upgrades Project Manager for a full-time position (40 hours per week) based in the United Kingdom. Due to the continued growth of the business in the UK, the client is now seeking an experienced project manager to join the team. The success and the double-digit growth are built on the ability to deliver projects on time and on budget. Delivering to exacting and demanding specifications, engaging with and managing the customer throughout the build, as well as overseeing the design and delivery aspects, is the focus of the team of project managers.

The duration is 6 months, with the possibility of extensionfor a further 6 months maximum.

The work location is in Banbury, UK,involving a hybrid setup of office, home, site work, with 50% of the time spent in Banbury and the other 50% at various sites, such as traveling to customer locations for 1-2 day visits to support the on-site team, always within the UK.

REQUIREMENTS

• 5-6+ years of experience in project management with a focus on modernization, system upgrades, or large-scale transformation projects.
• Proven track record in delivering projects across a broad spectrum within an associated industry (automation, engineering, warehousing).
• Minimum HNC in mechanical or electrical engineering or a similar discipline.
• Strong understanding of change management principles and stakeholder communication during upgrade cycles.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and IT, in a global or regional context.
• Solid understanding of risk management and mitigation strategies for upgrade projects.

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or technology-driven environments.
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and compliance requirements related to modernization and system upgrades.
• Familiarity with Agile or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
• Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent).
• Degree in Engineering.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage a portfolio of projects through to the end of the warranty period, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, to the agreed scope, and meet the customers' agreed specification and customers' quality expectations.
• Manage a project or portfolio of projects: to ensure that all contracts are completed on time, within budget, to the agreed scope, and that they meet customers' agreed specification and customers' quality expectations.
• Maintain reasonable control over the cost development of the contract and give accurate predictions of over- or underspending.
• Remain the focal point for the customer until the end of the warranty period. Produce invoice schedules and ensure that customers are correctly invoiced throughout the project. Create appropriate handover documentation.
• Ensure complete compliance with all site rules and regulations.
• Provide management of all personnel on site, including subcontractors. Conduct production of RAMS, issue Health and Safety Policy, issue hazard and risk analysis, compliance with CDM and any other regulations, with office support: ensure all RAMS are reviewed and logged.
