Job Title: Child Protection Specialist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Child Protection Specialist to join our team in Kharkiv, Ukraine. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing child protection programmes and projects, as well as providing technical guidance and support to government counterparts and partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Development and implementation of child protection programmes and projects
- Providing technical guidance and support to government counterparts and partners
- Collaborating with UNICEF staff and partners to develop and implement child protection strategies and policies
- Monitoring and evaluating programme progress and impact
- Building and maintaining partnerships with government counterparts, civil society organizations, and other stakeholders
Requirements
- Advanced university degree in international development, human rights, psychology, sociology, international law, or another relevant social science field
- Minimum of five years of professional experience in social development planning and management in child protection related areas
- Fluency in English
- Developing country work experience and/or familiarity with emergency situations
- Experience working in a developing country and knowledge about EU policy, standards, and best practices
- Relevant experience in programme development in child protection related areas in a UN system agency or organization
