WASH Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled WASH Specialist to join our team in Kyiv, Ukraine. The successful candidate will play a critical role in developing and implementing effective water and sanitation programs that improve the lives of children and families.

UNICEF is a global organization dedicated to promoting the rights and well-being of every child. We work tirelessly to provide emergency assistance, long-term development, and advocacy efforts to ensure all children have access to quality education, healthcare, and protection.

The WASH Specialist will be responsible for supporting the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the WASH program within the country office. This will include providing technical guidance, management support, and networking with government counterparts and other stakeholders.

• Develop and implement effective WASH strategies and policies that align with UNICEF's global goals.
• Provide technical assistance and support to government agencies, NGOs, and other partners to strengthen their capacity in WASH programming.
• Conduct needs assessments, gap analysis, and other studies to inform WASH program design and implementation.
• Monitor and evaluate WASH program progress, identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations for adjustments.
• Build and maintain partnerships with government agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders to leverage resources and expertise.

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., public health, environmental engineering, or social sciences).
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in WASH-related programs for developing countries.
• Strong knowledge of WASH sector trends, best practices, and international standards.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.
• Familiarity with emergency situations and ability to respond accordingly.

The estimated salary range for this position is $75,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
