National Consultant to Support the MHPSS TWG Operations and Information Management

Objective(s)

The specific objective of the consultant's work will be to provide technical support in information management in accordance with the MHPSS TWG working plan for 2026, including the existing information platforms of the group.

Activities and scope of work

  1. Assist with the bi-weekly MHPSS TWG meetings by supporting the drafting of the detailed meeting agendas and minutes based on the existing technical frameworks, planning further meetings, presentations according to the 7 core actions of the MHPSS TWG (as outlined in the IASC MHPSS Handbook for MHPSS Coordination) and providing contributions at the bi-weekly MHPSS TWG meetings by engaging in discussions and responding to participant questions;

  2. Maintain and update the MHPSS TWG member registry monthly, adding data including the updated information about the activities, scope of work, requests and needs of the partners of the MHPSS TWG operating in Ukraine to the existing databases on SharePoint and Kobo;

  3. Conduct weekly bilateral meetings involving MHPSS TWG co-chairs, TWG members and relevant stakeholders to provide technical inputs and guidance according to the ToR of the MHPSS TWG;

  4. Support in maintaining MHPSS TWG's online presence by drafting regular updates about the MHPSS TWG activities and operations in line with the operational plan for 2026 that are to be added to the MHPSS TWG webpage on the Response Reliefweb.Int for Ukraine platform, social media accounts, and newsletter every week;

  5. Provide technical input in the development of products related to the 7 core functions of the MHPSS TWG, including creating technical content that reflects current needs and activities;

  6. Support effective coordination and information sharing among TWG Task Teams and regional MHPSS TWGs by facilitating communication between groups, engaging with chairs through monthly meetings and bilateral consultations, and promoting adherence to the existing coordination framework;

  7. Aid in implementing MHPSS TWG initiatives focused on capacity building, quality assurance, and enhancing sustainability according to the current template, through drafting agendas, surveys, tests and training informational materials in Ukrainian and English related to the initiatives, ensuring timely distribution to participants through existing communication channels;

Qualifications

Essential:
 Bachelor's degree in social sciences or related field.

Desirable:
 Master's degree in social sciences or related field.

Experience

Essential:
 One year of professional experience in mental health and psychosocial support in emergency context.

Desirable: 
Work experience with WHO or another UN agency or other recognized international organizations.

Skills/Knowledge

Essential
: Knowledge of IASC MHPSS tools, guidelines and recommendations, WHO mental health technical packages; strong communication, information management skills (Excel. Kobo, PowerBI).

Desirable: Familiarity with the WHO Mental Health Programme in Ukraine.

Languages

Essential:

Advanced knowledge of Ukrainian and English.
