Spendbase is a global fintech company with a startup mindset dedicated to helping businesses optimize their spend through procurement, accounts payable, and virtual card solutions.

We're seeking a Copywriter Team Lead to join our marketing team full-time. This role combines hands-on copywriting with strategic team leadership, ensuring all written content is engaging, on-brand, and conversion-focused. You'll drive the creative process behind website messaging, advertising campaigns, customer communications, and sales collateral while mentoring writers and collaborating with design and marketing teams.

What we're looking for:

  • Near-native or high English proficiency (C1 level)
  • 3+ years of professional copywriting experience in marketing or advertising
  • 1+ years of experience leading, managing, or mentoring writers
  • Exceptional editing, proofreading, and analytical skills
  • Creative problem-solving abilities with a track record of developing impactful campaigns
  • Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and commitment to meeting deadlines
  • Experience with conversion optimization and performance marketing copy

What you'll do:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of talented writers
  • Collaborate closely with designers, developers, and marketing managers
  • Establish and maintain content standards, processes, and workflows
  • Create and oversee high-converting copy across websites, landing pages, advertisements, email campaigns, and sales materials
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice while tailoring messaging for different audiences and channels
  • Optimize copy for conversions, directly impacting website performance and campaign ROI
  • Provide editorial guidance, constructive feedback, and quality assurance for all team output
