Electrical Power Supply Design Engineer

MAIN TASKS AND FUNCTIONS:

• Development of design documentation related to electrical engineering solutions, including the design of internal and external electrical networks of 0.4–35 kV (cable and overhead lines); performing electrical calculations, such as voltage drop calculations in 0.4–35 kV lines, verification of line transmission capacity, transformer load calculations for /10 kV substations; relay protection calculations for 10–35 kV lines, selection of relay settings; design of cable duct systems using both standard manholes and custom-designed chambers; design of indoor and outdoor transformer substations 35(10)/0.4 kV (embedded and standalone), complete transformer substations; design of overhead-to-underground transitions at 10 and 35 kV; reconstruction of 10 kV distribution points and 110/10 kV substations (power part); design of outdoor lighting, grounding systems, and lightning protection systems. Preparation of project documentation at all stages: Conceptual Design (P), Detailed Design (R), and Working Documentation (RP); support in obtaining design approvals from regulatory authorities and successful completion of expert reviews.

• Development of power supply projects for industrial facilities, including:

• Design of solar power plants: internal facility networks (DC and AC kV) and external kV networks kV cable/overhead lines, 0.4/10(35) kV package transformer substations, kV distribution points, and retrofitting of kV switchgear at /10 kV substations);

• Design of wind power plants: 35 kV power collection networks, 35 kV cable line calculations, selection of conductor and screen cross-sections, short-circuit current calculations for parallel operation with the grid, and optimisation of network layout to reduce power losses during generation and minimise cable infrastructure costs;

• Design of energy storage systems;

• Design of gas piston and gas turbine power plants.

• Equipment analysis and selection: Selection of electrical equipment and ensuring compliance of the design with applicable standards and technical requirements.

• Coordination with customers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure consistency of design solutions and timely delivery of equipment.

• Quality assurance and compliance control of design documentation with established standards and regulations; monitoring the quality of project execution.

• Technical support during project implementation, including resolution of technical issues arising during construction and commissioning.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE CANDIDATE:

• Higher technical education in the field of electrical engineering.

• Proven experience in the design of renewable energy facilities (solar and wind power plants, energy storage systems), including performing electrical calculations, cable line selection, voltage drop calculations, and preparation of single-line diagrams.

• Good knowledge of regulatory documents and standards in the energy sector and renewable energy.

• Familiarity with construction norms and standards.

• Possession of a professional qualification certificate is considered an advantage.

• Proficiency in English is considered an advantage.

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with various project stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel.

• Confident user of MS Office and specialized software tools (AutoCAD, PVsyst, HelioScope, PVGIS, etc.).

• High level of responsibility, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a multitasking environment.
