We are cooperating with a client that is a leading organization in the education sector, providing assessments and data-driven insights for schools and families worldwide. SoftServe partners with this client to design, implement, and evolve a modern, authenticated portal that gives members one place to access resources, understand assessment data, register for events, manage accounts, and more.

With multiple Statements of Work already delivered and the next initiative approved, we're expanding the team to accelerate advanced, permission-aware search and ongoing platform enhancements. Currently, our team consists of developers, QA, PM, BA, and a designer. Stack: Angular SPA (TypeScript), Strapi on AWS Elastic Beanstalk, PostgreSQL, RDS, AWS S3, OpenSearch, SSO integration, AWS.

• An Angular Engineer with 4-5 years building production web apps, with significant Angular, TypeScript, and experience
• Strong in command of UI engineering (component architecture, state management, performance, accessibility, responsive design)
• Experienced in consuming REST APIs and shaping maintainable client-server contracts
• Skilled in SDLC (testing strategy, CI/CD, code reviews, design docs)
• Comfortable collaborating with Dev, PM, BA, Designer, Architecture, QA and engaging with client stakeholders
• A product-centric engineer who cares about outcomes as much as code
• A pragmatic collaborator who raises the bar for the team
• Comfortable working in Agile, continuously evolving roadmap with measurable impact
• Capable of communicating in English freely in a multicultural environment
• Familiar with OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, or any other search engine analyzers, synonyms, relevance/ranking experiments, k-NN/vector search, facets/filters, secured result filtering (would be a plus)
• Knowledgeable in Strapi customization (plugins) and content modeling; secure API design (as an advantage)
• Well-versed in AWS across the common services used above (nice-to-have knowledge)

• Be ready for the flagship challenge, that is an implemented advanced search on AWS OpenSearch
• Ship great UI and contribute to design and implement intuitive, maintainable, responsive Angular UIs
• Build end-to-end features where you consume and compose REST APIs; extend Strapi content models; connect backend services to polished front-end experiences
• Suggest pragmatic improvements to code, architecture, and process
• Build quick prototypes to validate interaction and search design choices
• Improve testing, CI/CD, code health, documentation, and team workflow
• Be a key contributor to a new global search experience that indexes & enriches content from Strapi, delivers rich UX, implements relevance tuning - lexical (BM25) plus optional vector k-NN for semantic relevance (hybrid retrieval)
