Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Site Manager to join our team at UNICEF in Kyiv, Ukraine.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work on-site and contribute to the successful management of construction projects that support the organization's mission to improve the lives of children worldwide.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire construction process, from planning and procurement to monitoring and quality control. This role requires excellent project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the construction process from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget.
  • Oversee all aspects of construction, including site preparation, excavation, foundation work, structural framing, installation of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, insulation, drywall, painting, flooring, cabinets, countertops, fixtures, fencing, and final inspections.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of the project.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local authorities, suppliers, and contractors to ensure compliance with regulations and high-quality workmanship.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in construction management, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong knowledge of construction laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
