Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join our team in Kyiv, Ukraine. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
This is a full-time position with a salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience. As a member of our team, you can expect a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and oversee construction projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
- Collaborate with our Programme sections and government counterparts to develop and implement effective construction strategies.
- Prepare design and technical documents, including scope of work, deliverables, and payment modalities.
- Support procurement processes, including preparing LPA requests, conducting surveys, and evaluating bids.
- Monitor construction projects, including regular site visits, technical meetings, and progress monitoring.
- An advanced university degree in civil engineering, construction engineering, architecture, or a related field.
- A minimum of eight years of relevant experience in project management, site supervision, quality assurance, or other directly-related technical fields.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Fluency in English, with knowledge of another official UN language or a local language an asset.
